French school of the XVII century. Rare portrait of a Renaissance princess. Portrait of a princess with a ruff wearing a three-row pearl necklace with a diamond in the shape of an eight-pointed star in the centre. Oil on canvas (covered on the back by a wooden panel) . Some overpaintings in the hairstyle and in the background, flaws in the paint layer, especially in the lower area. Dimensions: approx. 57 x 48. 5 cm (painting) and 72 x 63 cm (offered free of charge with frame) . Provenance: private collection from Northern France.
