Condition Report:
Very good condition overall for an object of this type and age. Minor nicks, chips, scratches, and abrasions in places, and a few very minor losses. An area of old insect damage to the top of the support post/tenon at the rear of the figure, and some insect damage to the underside of the buttocks. An area from just to the proper left side of the post/tenon to the proper right thigh is broken and glued. A stable open age crack to the back of the figure on the proper right side, as visible in the catalogue endpaper (photograph also online). Exceptional patina with areas of encrustation, particuarly to the back of the head and the back, and thick remains of ritually applied patina, liquid in some places. Has base.
