[ translate ]

ALEXANDER MAX KOESTER (German 1864-1932)
Ducks at the Pond
Oil on canvas
Signed lower right "A KOESTER"
20 inches x 27.25 inches (50.8 x 69.2 cm), contained in a finely crafted gilt frame

Provenance:
Neumeister Kunstauktionen, Munich, Germany auction of June 29, 2005 lot #715, where acquired by present owner

SHIPPING NOTICE:
Jackson's is your sole and only source for one stop packing and shipping. With over 50 years of experience, our professional, affordable and efficient in-house shipping department will be happy to provide you a fair and reasonable shipping quote on this lot. To ensure quality control Jackson's DOES NOT release to third party shippers.
Condition Report: Overall very good condition. The canvas is original and has not been lined. The paint layer is stable with no signs of losses or lifting. The paint surface exhibits the original undisturbed impasto, as well as likely the original varnish coat, which has yellowed slightly. There is a small patch on verso of canvas with a corresponding small area of minor retouching (left of center on lower margin). Otherwise, ultraviolet black light examination reveals no other repairs or damage. Contained in an attractive, later gilt frame in good condition.
