Condition ReportThe canvas has been relined. There is an uneven varnish to the paint surface and scattered areas of craquelure with some areas of paint separation to the sitter's jacket. Ultraviolet reveals scattered infilling to aforementioned craquelure. Held in an ornate plaster gilt frame with some loss to mouldings.
