Two volume, red leather set of A Complete View of the Dress and Habits of the People of England by Joseph Strutt, published London, 1796 & 1799. BOTH volumes have fore-edge (foredge) paintings. Contained within are 153 hand-colored copper-engraved plates of costumes, armor, seals, and everyday objects, with many being expertly hand colored. Each volume measures 9 1/2" x 11 1/2". VG+ condition with some spotting, ghosting of illustrations and minor wear to covers. Slipcase included.
