FOUR ANCIENT ROMAN GLASS VESSELScomprising a globular glass flask with a short cylindrical neck, with iridescent surface, probably Mesopotamia, 6th century AD, 8cm high, an opaque green free-blown flask with a cylindrical neck and a trumpet shaped mouth, with an independently made twisted handle and concave base, 2nd / 3rd century AD, 10cm high, a slender baluster shaped bottle with applied mounts to the rim, on spreading circular foot, 14cm high, and a cup on circular foot with everted rim and iridescent surface, 10cm high(4)Provenance: English private collection. The present owner inherited them from her parents and believes they came from her grandparents. One of them appears on a page from an old Spink & Son Valuation, 5, 6, & 7 King Street, St James's, London but we do not have the remainder of the valuation or the date.
