French Infantry Officer Sword Model 1845. Slightly curved, Single edged, bright blade with dual fullers. Maker's marked on the spine "Mfre D'armed de Chat. Mai 1878, Inf. Mle. 1845". Decorated brass hilt with inspection marks stamped on the D guard and serial number "10775" on the back. Ribbed wood grip with twisted wire. One ring steel scabbard. Blade Length: 30.5" | Total Length: 36"
Condition Report: Very good. Light oxidation on the scabbard.
