FRENCH VICTORIAN DAMASK LINEN SERVIETTES (12) - Linen - Early 20th century

12 Magnificent damask linen serviettes, as new. There are 6 very heavy damask linen ,the other 6 are slightly thinner. They all carry the same monograms, albeit the thinner also have slightly lighter initials. We particularly have documented the damask design which is beautifully woven and has a wealth of details. Please study the linen carefully. The edgings have small platted ribbons, whereas the interior has sways of luxurious ribbons. The corners are filled with bouquets of flowers and wheat sheaves. The monograms L. F. which are superbly embroidered onto the linen are set in a wreath of small flowers and again enrobed with ribbons. The slightly thinner damask has a different pattern ( 2 last photos)
