[ translate ]

Fender Lead I, produced in the glorious Fullerton plant (not Corona, like the recent ones) in 1980, designed by Greg Wilson and John Page of the Fender Custom Shop.

. The Lead I, unquestionably the rarest of the 3 versions produced, has ash body (not swamp-ash like the current Fender) , "Soft C" vintage style handle and maple fretboard, 22 medium jumbo frets, "F" Fender mechanics , Floyd Rose bridge (original, not "licensed") .

. It comes as standard with a single splittable humbucker pickup with ceramic magnet created by Seth Lover, who invented the humbucker in 1955: it has a magnificent output of 14 k. Ohm.
. It has a three-position selector (upper coil abbreviation, humbucker, lower single coil) , a two-position selector for series / parallel (which works only when the humbucker is activated) , main volume and tone controls.

. Unique specimen in Europe with original Floyd Rose.

. Exceptional versatility: used by Eric Clapton, Bono Vox, Elliot Easton, Steve Morse, etc.

. The Nitro varnish presents the splendid (and much sought after by collectors) "crackle". It just runs set up and changes ropes.
