Ferrari - 400i Automátic - 1981

[ translate ]

This Ferrari 400i Automatic is in good condition. It was originally registered in Belgium and due to the owner's change of residence, it was imported to Spain in 2009. Since then, it has been in the city of Madrid where it is currently kept. This car will be on display at the Classic Madrid show on the 24th, 25th, and 26th of February. This 400i is powered by a 4. 9-litre 'Colombo' V12 engine that produces 315hp through a three-speed automatic gearbox made by General Motors. As can be seen in the service book, it was maintained in Ferrari workshops whenever it was in use, which shows that its mileage is genuine. The exterior is in very good condition. During the last 12 years it was stored in the garage of a building but, despite being protected, there are small marks on the sides caused by the garage neighbours. That is why both sides were painted and the defects caused by the neighbours dinging the door openings were fixed. The wheel arches and the underbody of the car were painted as they lost their shine due to the passage of time. Also, the lower front end and bumpers were painted, and the front grille was restored. The interior of the car is in very good condition. It has some normal signs of wear due to use and the passage of time, but it is completely original. In addition, the leather upholstery is original and in very good condition. Mechanically it is OK but since it has not been used for so long, the injectors have clogged. That is why the fuel pump, the 12 injectors, oil and engine filters were changed along with the automatic gearbox oil. The entire fuel circuit and the fluid circuit were also serviced. The tyres are not cracked and have a lot of tread but they are from many years ago, so it is recommended to change them. In short, this 1981 Ferrari 400i is in good condition. It is finished in a combination of colours that make the design, signed by Pininfarina, stand out for its elegance. The car has never been in an accident and is a good choice for someone looking to own their first Colombo-powered V12 Ferrari or simply to add one to their collection. The car is located in Madrid and can be viewed in person.
