Murano glass bass relief with gold leaf " Ca' D'Oro " , made by glass master Ferro Lorenzo in Murano . - Hand-decorated bas-relief in Murano glass by Lorenzo Ferro, inspired by Ca'D'Oro, a charming patrician residence on the left bank of the Grand Canal. Its name derives from the fact that originally some parts of the facade were covered with gold, finishing that was part of a complex polychrome, now disappeared, considered one of the greatest examples of Venetian flowery Gothic. Since 1927 it has been used as a museum for the Galleria Franchetti. -
