A wonderful ensemble of five original hand colored woodblocks depicting railroad scenes from Harper's Weekly and Frank Leslie's Illustrated Newspaper - ca. 1873 to 1883. The collection includes: (1) "The Transportation Problem - The Pictorial Story of the Railway Monopoly - A Scene on a Western Canal and Railway - Sketched by J. Becker" Frank Leslie's Illustrated Newspaper - October 11, 1873 (2) "Mount Sir Donald Station and Hotel at the Great Glacier of the Selkirks, British Columbia, on the Canadian Pacific Railway" Harper's Weekly, Volume XXXIII, No. 1702 (3)"The Completion of the Northern Pacific Railway - Scenes on the Line of the Road" from photos by F.
