1st grade content silver tea set decorated with lions in a barge-shaped Empire model, consisting of a teapot, tea caddy, sugar bowl, creamer and hotplate with burner. The pieces were (respectively) made in the year 1893 - 1920 - 1920 - 1920 by A. C. Kooiman in Schoonhoven, these pieces also have the retailers mark of C. G. Aaken in Schaardenburg. The hotplate with burner was made by T. G. Bentveld, active in Amsterdam from 1806 to 1853. Dimensions (Lx. Wx. H) and weights(gr) : Hot plate: 16 x 14 x 11 cm - 510. 1 Teapot: 22. 5 x 8. 5 x 14. 5 cm - 550 Tea caddy: 10. 3 x 8 x 12 cm - 360. 2Sugar bowl: 16. 3 x 8 x 12 cm - 397. 2 Creamer: 11 x 6. 3 x 13. 2 cm - 259. 1 Condition: Very good condition, the wooden plateau of the hotplate is slightly discoloured in the corners, and the lock has been professionally removed from the tea caddy.
