An acrylic painting on canvas by Florencio Capestany (Cuban, 20th Century). Showcases a vibrant portrayal of the Virgin Mary and Christ Child in folk art style. The central focus is on the rich and varied colors surrounding the figures. Angels and flowers frame the edges. Above the mother's head a banner reads Reina del Mar. Bottom of the painting there is a circular scene featuring a sailing ship. Signed and dated 2006 by he artist in the lower right corner. Presented in wood gold tone carved frame.
