"To my Mother" is the main graphic work by the artist Sidonie Springer. The portfolio consists of 10 images drawn by the artist in charcoal and partly tinted in colour, which are given full effect by being reproduced in hand-pressed copperplate prints. Each print is accompanied by introductory words written by the artist herself and are intended to serve as an explanation of the picture. From air and play the path leads to suffering and death.
