The Ford Thunderbird, which was introduced in 1955, is a car produced by Ford and was originally intended as a competitor to the Corvette which had flopped at the time. Although the Corvette was a nice racer, Ford did things differently: they built a sporty luxury car not intended for racing but rather for cruising. It was offered as a coupé or as a convertible with a hardtop. It became an immediate success which was partly due to the fact there wasn’t much competition. This Ford, from the first generation of Thunderbirds, is becoming more rare and harder to find: it is a true collector’s item! This Thunderbird is in a neat condition. The car starts immediately, shifts smoothly and powerfully through all gears and idles nicely. The engine compartment looks fresh and well-maintained. The interior is still in a relatively neat, used, condition as shown in the pictures. The Thunderbird has also been fitted recently with a new lacquer layer, in the Netherlands.
