Fossil sawfish and multiple fishes - Libanopristis hiram - 82×58×3 cm

The sawfish such as the Libanopristis hiram have a snout stretching into a rostrum laterally holding small teeth. The pectoral fins, well developed, join the rostrum and the head is not individualized from the body. This family, which is not directly related to the present day sawfish, is localized in the Cretaceous. The sawfish measures 54 cm. Please note that fossils are nearly always found by splitting vast amount of rocks. This means that most fossils will be glued in some place, most will have a small part chipped away. Professional preparation ensures, that fossils are preserved in a state as close to original as possible. We will deliver every fossil with a Certificate of Authenticity. The fossil will best be collected in France but can of course be shipped insured and with tracking number via Colissimo.
