France - 1828 - Manufacture Royale de St Etienne - Pattern 1822 - Percussion - Rifle - 18mm cal

Complete flintlock rifle converted to percussion 1822T bis, Royal arms factory of Saint Etienne - 1828 with the same number Superb flintlock rifle (1777 model or originally 1822) converted to percussion and a grooved barrel (1822 T bis model) , dated 1928 and converted 1859. Healthy, shiny metal parts, in very nice condition. Grooved barrel interior (see photos) . Wooden rifle parts made of walnut, very beautiful and healthy (trace of a repair, hardly visible, at the back of the breech, slight play at the muzzle band because of the spring, which may have been replaced) . The lock works perfectly, the hammer has three positions (uncocked/half-cocked/cocked) . Functional trigger. Multiple markings on the wood and metal parts: - Lock: marking of the royal arms factory of Saint Etienne. - Butt: remnant of round macaron with boxwood centre (illegible) + St Etienne marking next to it + registration number 261 - Barrel: Mdl 1822 T Bis on the breech tail + year of manufacture 1928 + 1859 (modification T Bis on hidden part of the barrel) + Cde 18 + registration number 261 + T - Other metal parts: L with stars on counter-lock, M in a circle on the swivel ring, C topped by a crown on the muzzle (for Barthélémy COMPAS, inspector at the Saint Etienne arms factory from 1813 to 1835) . - Trigger guard: C topped by a crown (for Barthélémy COMPAS, inspector at the Saint Etienne arms factory from 1813 to 1835) . - Rod: a dot inside a triangle. - Recoil pad: Letters ‘MOU’ Features: Total length 141. 5 cm Barrel length without breech tail 103 cm Weight when empty: 4 kg Rod: 100 cm Important: 1) Collectable firearm, class D (free-to-trade) . 2) Registered shipping with declared value and insurance. 3) As long as the ad is online, the item is available.
