Superb old regulation Chassepot model 1866 Infantry rifle, modified Gras 1874 (in 1877 in Saint Etienne) , central percussion breech. Rifle modified M80 (Gas exhaust safety) then transformed civilian in its very interesting caliber 16. perfect functioning breech with big percussion - barrel, in a tan slightly attenuated in places, but remained homogeneous and in very good condition - frame in very beautiful light walnut, numbered and punched, shortened and with baguette channel filling during its civil modification. - all fittings and screws punched/numbered - bolt head and extractor modified to 16 gauge rifle more than 150 years old, with its small signs and traces of use, small stains on the wood (see photos) , but remained solid and in very good condition.
