France - 18th century - Flintlock - Pistol - 11,5
Spectacular pair of flintlock pistols of French origin, early 18th century, about 1710/1730, between the reigns of Louis XIV and Louis XV. Fine briar body with silver inserts. Rounded plates with swan neck-shaped hammer. The small of the stock and the tip of the ramrods are made of bone. The beautiful grooved and worked ramrods are marked with the manufacturer's mark, but I have been unable to identify it even though I have checked several books. Whoever will obtain this beautiful pair of objects with a noble look will be able to do so. Suitable for a great collection. The pair of pistols is 46 cm long. 11. 5 mm calibre. Insured shipping with tracking, padded packaging.
