Pistol from the Directory period (geometric decor, diamond-tip or table motif, decorated with the profile of an antique vase, characteristic of that period) The weapon is very carefully made with a rare mini dioptre built into the sight and a silver sight. The butt is made of veined walnut and polished white steel which was fashionable at the time. The weapon still has its lovely original rod made of turned steel. The lock still works perfectly, the barrel can still be fired after a cleaning, it is a lovely object in excellent condition. This weapon experienced directory campaigns, then consulate and finally empire before being converted to percussion to continue serving an army officer. A weapon that would have a lot to tell if it could speak. . . A piece of history, very aesthetic, refined and still functional.
