Francoise Pagnuelo studied fine art in Montreal under Edwin Holgate, Lilias Torrence Newton, Thomas Reid MacDonald, Harold Beament, Adam Sheriff Scott, and Jean-Paul Lemieux. She exhibited regularly from 1940 to 1956 and showed at The Art Association of Montreal - Montreal Museum of Fine Arts (1940-44 & in 1953) Henry Morgan & Co. Ltd. (943), the Art Gallery of Toronto (1950) and the Independent Art Association (1956). Pagnuelo’s subject matter included urban scenes, architectural, marines, still-lifes, portraits, along with landscapes of Montreal, the Laurentians, Gaspé, and New England. She is an admirable painter in the post-impressionist tradition.
