Frank Miller (1957)
Frank Miller and Klaus Janson Daredevil #179 Story Page 9 Original Art (Marvel, 1982). Daredevil was Miller's proving ground for the offbeat narrative techniques that he and inker Janson would bring to fruition on 1986's game-changing Batman: The Dark Knight. This unusual six-panel grid (stacked horizontally) finds Daredevil thwarting a murder attempt by "hefting [a 400-pound weight] like it was 50!" Janson's crisp ink-and-Zipatone finishes add a gritty edge to Miller's bold pencil compositions, like Cinemascope on paper. The lightly toned Bristol page has an image area of 10" x 15". Faint yellowing in the Zip-film areas and three docked corners. In Very Good condition. HID09710052018 © 2022 Heritage Auctions | All Rights Reserved
