Frank Miller and Klaus Janson Batman: The Dark Knight Returns #2 Story Page 34 Original Art (DC, 1986). By the end of the page, Gotham is in need of a new Mayor. Being "Eaten by a Mutant" is a helluva way to get fired. Carrie Kelley, the new Robin, is featured in the last two panels. Any Dark Knight page is now one of the top prizes in the original art world, and it's amazing how much narrative Miller packs into each and every page -- this one is crammed full with the artist's revolutionary storytelling devices and cast of characters that have made the series the true pinnacle of comics greatness. Created in ink over graphite on DC Bristol board with an image area of 10" x 16". There is a paste-up text correction in a couple of panels, and the second image of Jimmy Olsen on the bottom row is a stat of the prior image. Signed by inker Klaus Janson in the lower margin.
