FRANK E. SCHOONOVER (American 1877-1972) "Forest at Night" Oil on canvas laid on masonite. 18 x 32 1/2 inches; Frame: 21 1/2 x 35 5/8 inches. Signed lower right: F.E Schoonover. CONDITION: In overall good condition. The canvas appears to have been wax relined and then laid down on masonite. Heavy craquelure throughout especially in left half in the tree trunk and foreground hill. Small abrasion with possible repair in the lower left quadrant right above the frame, small abrasions throughout. Was not examined under black light.
