[ translate ]

\Artist: Frans Manders (1939 tot heden)
Technique: Oil on canvas\Signature: Hand signed\Dimensions: 86_106_000_cm
Beautiful oil painting on canvas by the painter Frans Manders 1939 to the present. The scene is a landscape (peellandschap) with farms. The painting is in excellent condition. The sizes are 86 cm high x 106 wide. Frans Manders (1939) was educated at the academy for industrial design in Eindhoven. After a disagreement with a teacher, he left the programme prematurely in 1961. In 1961 he worked as an engineer draughtsman, and later dedicated himself to graphic design and illustrations. After a successful exhibition of his watercolours and drawings in 1977 he switched to independent artistry. In the beginning, his subjects mainly consisted of the traditional, pristine Brabant landscape. He builds up a great reputation with it, but at a certain point, it no longer sufficed. Manders started experimenting with colour, style and working method. When his studio burns down in 1995, this is the deciding factor for a change for a new style: a starting point for his new work are his memories of nature, but also of people or deep-sea fish. He abstracts, uses the interplay of lines or contrasting section of colour, as can be seen in 'Landschap in groen en rood'.
