French Bronze-Mounted Sevres-Style Urn
ca. 1900, decorated with a hand-painted panel depicting a group in 18th-century costume in an Arcadian landscape on one side, and a lion-mounted fountain flowing into a garden pool on the other side, the porcelain trimmed with gilt scrollwork, with bronze laurel-molded handles on the sides, a cone-form finial on the top, resting on a molded bronze base, with a spurious "Sevres" mark on the underside of the cover.
