French, 19th century. A bonheur du jour with burled walnut veneer and marquetry scrollwork design, having brass gallery over central compartment with single mirrored cabinet over aligned drawer, flanked by two compartments, each with three aligned dovetailed drawers, over a leather-covered writing surface and bowfront drawer with brass handles, all resting on cabriole legs with brass mounts, key included; ht. 49, wd. 43, dp. 23 in.
Condition Report: Section of leather missing on writing surface. Split in wood on top of central cabinet and on back panel. Splits along edge of writing surface, mostly in front. Split on front top part of left compartment.
