French Empire Brass Figural Mantle Clock with Silk Thread Suspension and Dome. The whole of rectangular form, applied with figures of Mary and Jesus as Infant, the baby's figure over the cylindrical clock set, the whole atop a parquetry-inlaid wood base, under a glass dome. 'Lindau a' Mond' to the dial. 'L / 380' to the movement reverse. Partially rubbed mark to case reverse 'LR' in diamond, two 'H' to the case reverse, with 'H / K9' to the top section reverse. 19th century. {Approximate dimensions without the base and dome: 14 3/4 high x 11 1/2 wide x 5 1/4 inches deep.}. Condition: Lacking door for dial and movement. Some patina to the gilt metal. Some cracking to the wood base though it is very stable.
