French Medieval Bronze Seal Pendant w/ Coat of Arms

Western Europe, France, late Medieval Period, 14th to 15th century CE. A petite cast-bronze stamp seal with a circular face surmounted by a perforated, spade-shaped handle. Inscribed on the face is a triangular shield with linear and circular motifs, and surrounding the shield is a line of text that perhaps contains the name of the stamp's owner or the family motto of the owner. Smooth green-brown patina has formed across the implement. Custom putty impression included. Size: 0.8" W x 1" H (2 cm x 2.5 cm)

Condition Report: Minor abrasions to stamp face and handle, with softening to some inscribed details and text, otherwise intact and very good. Great patina throughout. Text surrounding shield is very difficult to read.
