French Renaissance Style Carved Oak Buffet a Deux Corps, 19th c., the stepped ogee crown over a center cupboard door with iron strap hinges and escutcheon, flanked by angled cupboard doors with like hardware and large urn supports, on a base with a bank of two drawers, above a large armorial carved cupboard door with iron strap hinges and escutcheons, flanked by long cupboard doors with like hardware, on a plinth support on block feet, H.- 73 in., W.- 84 in., D.- 24 in.
Condition Report: Condition consistent with age and use. Some surface scratches and dings throughout. Proper left urn support has crude repair to corner of base. Two vertical shrinkage cracks on central door of lower case. Two think vertical shrinkage cracks on proper left side panel of lower case and one vertical and one horizontal shrinkage crack on proper right-side panel of lower case. Two horizontal shrinkage cracks across upper cased doors; one on the center, one on the proper right. Three keys present, but they do not seem to unlock cabinets of lower case.
