French Rush Seated Directoire Style Cherry Sofa.

A rush seated French antique bench with Directoire era design elements, specifically the turning in the stretchers and the caps atop the back risers. The cherry is a warm brown with good grain and some period appropriate wear, and the rush is in good antique condition. The back of this piece reclines slightly, so when the back is pushed right up to a wall, the back feet are 5" away from it. Dimensions: 54" x 22" x 37.5" back height, 15" seat height.
