Very important Rhineland walnut Renaissance wardrobe from the late 17th century. Alsatian piece of furniture resting on 3 round feet under a base with overhanging ledge. Apron decorated with 2 large and 3 small moulded reserves and carved with foliage scrolls. Tapered columns with Corinthian capitals carved in the style of the Rhine Renaissance. At their bases, 3 moulded reserves carved with fantastic animal heads. This magnificent piece of furniture opens with two doors decorated with 2 large reserves carved in relief with plant, floral and animal motifs. The pediment is carved with interlacing motifs and a soup tureen in abundance.
