GARNET BROOCH ANTIQUE NORM GOLD BOHEMIA AROUND 1880.
The antique brooch is made of yellow gold 250/1000 = standard gold and is hallmarked with standard. This alloy was used at the turn of the century around 1880/1900 in Bohemia or Austria as a common alloy, especially for Biedermeier and garnet jewelry.
It is set with 28 faceted, blood-red, Bohemian garnets of different sizes. The garnets are cut in the antique rose cut.
