GARRARD & CO. - an 18ct gold diamond and enamel brooch. The black enamel penguin, with pave-set diamond breast and eye, catching a fish. Maker's mark for Garrard & Co. Ltd. Estimated total diamond weight 0.50ct. Hallmarks for London, 1990. Length 4.3cms. Weight 20.7gms.
Condition Report: Overall condition good to fair. Some surface scratches and slight discolouration in keeping with general age and wear.
Jeweller-type scratch marks to the back of a wing.
Diamonds bright and well matched.
Individual size and setting of diamonds prevents accurate colour and clarity assessment.
No obvious inclusions under 10x.
Enamel has a small, shallow chip to the middle of the back, at the edge. Enamel with general small surface pitting and few moderate scratches.
