Garfield & Hancock 1880 Metamorphic Cards

Two double-sided oblong 32mo printed advertising cards. Feature a dye-cut oval that when rotated, by means of a small metal rivet at center, displays either a portrait of James A. Garfield or Winfield S. Hancock, below the imprint "Our Next President." One card, on pink card stock, contains advertisements for various businesses in Lewiston, ME. The other card, on orange card stock, contains advertisements for various businesses in Portland, ME. Provenance: Dr. Alan York Estate. [4 7/8 x 3 1/2 inches]. Some wear at edges, light stains, and soiling.
