Gene and Rebecca Tobey, American, (1945-2006) & (b. 1948), buffalo ceramic sculpture, 1987. Partially glazed figure of a buffalo, unglazed blue to the front of the body, black glaze to the posterior. Pierced abstracted figures to the shoulders as well as raised colorfully glazed figures. White outlines of geometric and abstracted figures in a Native American inspired style. Signed and dated to the left flank. Felt pads to the underside of the feet.

Condition Report: Excellent condition. Mild discoloration likely from age to the side of the face and neck. With 60x magnification, we have determined areas of white paint to the ear and the hip from production. One very short scratch to hip. Please refer to photos.
