George Bernard Shaw Autograph Letter Signed
ALS signed “GBS,” one page on the reverse of a 3.25 x 5.25 postcard portrait of himself, postmarked 1907. Letter to "Mrs. Nightingale Duddington," in part: "My mother used to supply the information for astrologers, and my horoscope has been cast several times; but she is dead now: and I forget the hour, though I have a vague notion that it was near enough to midnight to raise some doubt as to whether the accepted date, 26th July 1856, was really correct. But whether it was midnight of 25-26th or 26th-27th I cannot tell you. Anyhow, it doesn't matter: the horoscopes were never any use. I know Mrs. Russell, & think you will get on wonderfully until you get tired of one another." In fine condition, with silvering to the photo side.
