George Studdy - Bookends, Art Deco "Bonzo Dog"
Rare pair of bookends "Bonzo", signed by George Ernest Studdy (1878-1948) , English illustrator of the 20s and creator of "A dog called Bonzo". These are possibly car mascots mounted as bookends. Although it is an original pair (same golden paper coating underneath) , one base is slightly thicker than the other one, and one of the sculptures is mounted closer to the edge than the other one.
