George Washington autograph on envelope, addressed to Brigadier General Irvine. Brigadier General William Irvine commanded Fort Pitt in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania from November 6, 1781 to September 30, 1783. During that time, Fort Pitt served as the headquarters for the western theatre during the Revolutionary War. 8.5 x 13 inches.
Condition Report: General good condition with old losses from folds and the two wax stamps missing, not laid down. Merchandise will be packed and transported by the purchaser at their own risk and expense.
