German Jubilee Terracotta Plaque w/ Sotheby's Tag

An antique 1906 terracotta commemorative plaque the Golden Jubilee of Friedrich I and Luise Von Baden, Grand Duke of Germany, and Princess of Prussia. A reddish brown ceramic tile with arched bottom featuring a round raised profile of the couple set around and under German raised script, with a leaf relief border. A string is pierced through the top for hanging. Retains old label affixed to the back with inscribed # 5909.Provenance: This item originated from a distinguished auction event hosted by Sotheby's in October 1995, designated as LOT 3726 at the Neues Schloss (New Castle), Baden-Baden, Germany. It was a part of the royal collection belonging to Margrave Max von Baden (1933-2022), a prominent figure in European aristocracy and the first cousin of Prince Charles III. This auction showcased a selection of valuable items from his esteemed collection.
