German Luftwaffe 1st Pattern Officers Dress Dagger by David Malsch, Steinbach, good example of an early 1st pattern dress dagger with nickel silver fittings. Top pommel with gilded mobile swastikas to both sides, blue leather covered grip with wire binding, cross guard with mobile swastikas to both sides. Housed in its original blue leather covered scabbard with nickel silver mounts and original hanging chains with metal clip fitting. Double edged straight blade with feint makers mark to the base of the blade, typically very faintly marked, which is common for this maker. Generally good condition with nice patina to the fittings.
