Germany, Offices in China, 1900, 20pf Ultramarine, Tientsin Handstamp (20; Michel 11). Impressively well-centered, tied by "K.D. Feldpoststation No. 9 6/8" circular datestamp of Peithaho with additional strike beside on 1901 cover to Kassel, Germany, light strike of blue framed military handstamp, Kassel (Sept. 20) arrival backstamp, cover with some minor edgewear and wrinkling VERY FINE USE OF THE 1900 20-PFENNINGS TIENTSTIN PROVISIONAL ON COVER FROM THE PEITHAHO MILITARY POST OFFICE. A particularly rare cancel on the Tientsin provisional issue. This military post office No. 9 was located in Peithaho for only around three months from May 22 to Aug. 31, 1901.
