Germany, Used in China, 1900, 3m Black Violet, Types I-II (64-64a; Michel PVI I, PVI II). Singles of each type, used with 1900, 20pf Ultramarine (56; Michel PVd) and Germany, Offices in China, 1898, 50pf Red Brown, 45 Degree Overprint (6a; Michel 6I), horizontal pair, all tied by "K.D. Feldpoststation No. 4 8/11" circular datestamps on 1900 parcel card to Toulon, France, Feldpost No. 1 labels at top, card with vertical file fold and some edge wear, 3m stamps with minor rust spots VERY FINE. A SPECTACULAR USE OF THE GERMANY 3-MARK VALUE WITH BOTH TYPES ON A PARCEL CARD FROM FELDPOST NO. 4 LOCATED IN TONGKU. AN IMPRESSIVE BOXER REBELLION RARITY. The use of the Feldpost No. 1 labels is noteworthy as this office opened shortly after on Nov. 24, 1900 in Kaumi. Feldpost No. 4 was located in Tongku from Sept. 2, 1900 to Aug. 31, 1901. The 3m value is a particularly rare value on a parcel card and to find a card with both types is quite exceptional. Ex Sir Percival David.
