Violet "Beschädigt durch Brandunglück im Postamt Shanghai." two-line handstamp on incoming "Deutsche Reichspost feldpostcarte", Rodenberg 30.9.00" despatch circular datestamp, addressed to active soldier, Peking (Jan. 25), "K.D. Feldpoststaion No. 2, 14/2", and another Feb. 16 datestamps, returned to sender with Rodenberg (Apr. 9) arrival datestamp, card minimally damaged by fire, Very Fine and fascinating card which must have been in transit back to sender in Shanghai when the fire broke out, due to the multiple Feldpost No. 2 cancels (which was located in Peking from Sept. 11, 1900 to Aug. 21, 1901), we presume the recipient was never found
