German School, 20th century oil on canvas signed expressionist landscape painting depicting a bird's eye view of a village and farmlands rendered in broad swaths of color. Signed with monogram and date "HR 52" lower left. Exhibit label en verso for Wuerttemberg Art Association, Stuttgart, Germany with illegible artist name and other ink inscriptions, en verso. Housed in a molded giltwood frame. Sight: 17" H x 20 3/4" W. Framed: 21 3/4" H x 25 3/4" W.
Condition Report: Overall good condition with light craquelure, one indentation to center left of canvas (does not pierce canvas). Frame with natural age shrinkage, largest 6", minor areas of loss to gilt.
