Germany - 18th Century - Mid to Late - Keiner - Flintlock - Pistol
Long flintlock pistol with engraved brass fittings, German, around 1780. Old flintlock pistol (length 49 cm) with a rifled ornate barrel, ocatagonal at the rear, 13. 5 mm calibre, lightly carved entire walnut shaft, exquisitely carved brass fittings and wooden ramrod finished with horn. The cambered flintlock is fully functional, the springs are taught and intact, the cock engages in two positions and can be easily fired, the name of the manufacturer ‘KEINER’ is on the lock plate. Original piece with age-related signs of wear and tear (the lock and barrel have been reworked, the wood at the butt cap has been repaired, small scratches in the wood) , otherwise, in a good condition.
