Germany - coltellaccio Dagona storta - dagger
Dagger/large knife/fauchard with older combat blade - mid-17th century Beautiful double-edged blade of military origin, which was probably shortened and adapted to be used as a long knife or fauchard already in that period. The pistol-like handle, also used on other cold weapons in the early 17th century, is perfectly appropriate and in line with other similar pieces. It does not look like a reassembled weapon but rather one that was originally assembled in its current state. Cold weapon for military use, even though the short guard may be misleading, but also used as a hunting weapon. A nice piece, probably made in Tyrol or Germany. With genuine patina, 100% original
