Additional Information: "Gilt Bronze Clock Representing Emperor Justinian, Restoration Period 1820" Pendulum representing the emperor Justinian Our emperor is seated on the box of the dial holding a parchment in his hands engraved with the name Justinian, thus revealing the identity of the character presented here. Our man is presented leaning on a richly carved and chiseled helmet, on the left side of the dial stands a spectacular shield leaning on the sword of Justinian, richly chiseled with a head of Medusa on a background of scales as its center. Our man poses proudly but thoughtfully, he is dressed in very ornate and richly chiseled armor. On the left side, a shield-shaped ornament is missing which has been lost. It is in perfect working order and retains its original key and pendulum.
