A gold finger ring with incised scroll motif to the D-section hoop; the bezel a rectangular cell enclosing a peridot, with incised scrolls to the walls and underside; possibly restored from contemporary parts. 5.4 grams, 25mm overall, 17.56mm internal diameter (approximate size British O, USA 7 1/4, Europe 14.51, Japan 14) (1"). Property of a Hertfordshire lady; previously in a London collection before 2013.
